Drum Kit Tuition
Are you or your child new to music?
Or have you been drumming for a while, but want to extend your skills and need fresh motivation?
Playing drum kit can help you to develop many of the skills necessary for playing with other musicians, particularly a strong sense of rhythm and timing. Plus, drumming is extraordinarily fun!
For ages 7+ to adult. All abilities welcome.
Available in 30, 45 and 60 minute individual and paired lessons.
Music Tuition
Music tuition doesn’t have to be on just one instrument. Here are some of the reasons a general music lesson might be for you:
You’re new to music and aren’t sure which instrument you want to learn
You’re interested in trying a few different instruments
You want to develop your knowledge of music theory in a fun and practical way
You use music as a creative or therapeutic outlet
You’re a songwriter looking for ideas and direction
I particularly enjoy assisting people to develop their rhythm skills, and the musicianship skills that assist in playing music with others.
For ages 5+ to adult. All abilities welcome.
Available in 30, 45 and 60 minute individual and paired lessons.
Music Workshops
Have an idea for a workshop? I’d love to hear it!
Over the past fifteen years I’ve had the opportunity to develop and deliver music workshops for people of all ages and abilities, and groups of all sizes, including:
Early education, preschool, primary and high school students
Children and adults from migrant and refugee backgrounds
Children and adults with disabilities
Wellbeing and mental health communities
School holiday programs
Staff of private and community organisations (team building)
The organisations for whom I’ve provided tailored workshops and classes include the Adult Mental Health Unit at The Canberra Hospital; the German Australian Playschool; the Sony Foundation’s Camp for children with disabilities; Hearing Australia in partnership with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra for children and adults with hearing impairments; and the Create Foundation for children in out-of-home care.
Whether it’s for two people in a workplace or a hundred people at a community event, I love developing workshops to suit the specific needs of a group.

Music comes in many forms, and so do people.
I’m committed to providing an inclusive music tuition service, and am LGBTIQ+ and neurodivergent inclusive. Students of all ages and abilities are welcome.
Music is valuable in all its forms.
There isn’t just one way to enjoy music. Whether it’s played with others, performed for others, or played for your own enjoyment and wellbeing, you can connect with music in the way you want to. There’s also no right or wrong genre or style - you like the music you like! Lessons will incorporate and reflect this.
People have different learning styles and goals.
Lessons are tailored to you - balancing the development of fundamental music and musicianship skills with the wants and needs of the individual. What do you want your lessons to look like?
Learning music should be fun!
